my peeps

I think about all of the amazing things my friends, my sisters and brothers, my community are going to do and I literally get excited. I can point them out to you if you'd like. My best friend who went to Romania and hung out with the poor and the orphaned and now loves a different kind of poor and orphaned. My friend Hubba who is doing Teach For America in a small Mississippi school. She will probably end up in the Middle East or India falling in love with cultures and making people's lives better. My soon to be married friends are moving to Philadelphia- one to change this world through his art, the other to change the world with her heart. My already married friends Steffenhagens' are revolutionizing a small Christian college campus with their ideas... they will be revolutionizing the world in no time. Tracey who believes in the power of change and growth is growing up people, making an orginization more amazing and always asking everyone to challenge, push themselves to do better things. Beth Staton and Jen Whitson are my favorite theologians and I think they should both write books (even if they are children's books). Brown Town is going to be the best PA you ever met and one day she will go to Africa and be a conduit for holistic healing in the lives of the broken (in body and in spirit).

And me? I want to walk alongside of each one of these people- physically and through my words. I find my deepest passion in encouraging the passions of others and I hope they know how freaking proud I am of them.
