Heart

Open wide, heart, and let this be your greatest endeavor. To love fully from the places that don't feel worth loving from. Let this time take its toll, pushing back space to invite them in. You have so much to lose but the adventure is in those losses. You wont recognize yourself when you turn back around and you will be better for that lack of recognition.

You have learned so much. So don't stop now. Find your rhythm in the subtle things. Find your niche in a Connection that will inevitably lead you to the better parts of living. Community, compassion, faith and so much love. We don't talk about these things because they are easy or because they are convenient. Instead, there is the struggle, the pain, the choices that make little sense. Because what is logical about you, heart?

Do you remember the loneliness of being anything but yourself? Do you recall the desperation for authenticity? But you are stronger now and you are capable of a much more. A year ago you thought you wouldn't survive, eight months ago you were headed to a point of no return. But not today. Today you can remember what it felt like to finally recognize the truth about who you are. A truth not contingent upon the opinions of others or the awful things you told yourself. You can remember finally fighting for something other than a well-maintained appearance. You can remind yourself what coming back from the edge looks like.

We still have a lot more to do, a lot more to learn. And we will.

So open wide, heart, open wide.
