This is my promise:I will pursue things that bring me life. I will cultivate relationships and embark on new journeys, all towards giving and living well. I will always choose life.
I will remove the things that consume me with feelings of unworthiness and insignificance. I will turn my back to the things that enslave and destroy. I will not let anyone make me feel less than I am. I will always choose life.
My faith will be one of newness, springing forth and the gathering up of all things centered on love. I will value community as if I am seeing if for the first time and I will not place value in institutions over people. I will always choose life.
I am committed to self-discovery, to self-awareness, to developing and growing. To the process of "becoming" and knowing the good things in me and valuing them. I will always choose life.
I am not perfect. I mess up. I hurt people. I let people hurt me and make me feel crazy. I apologize when I shouldn't. I don't apologize when I should. I battle. But, tonight, I embrace both perfect and imperfect. Tonight- I choose life.
